I’m happy with the progress Masculine Books has made. Nearly 200 articles have been published here and I get thousands of visitors every month. My Twitter following is well over 1,200 followers now too.
But to really get the most out of the internet people need to connect!
This is why I am starting the Masculine Book Club. It will give readers an opportunity to read great books and interact with other like-minded men. We will focus on reading a book a month and will study and discuss the book throughout that time period.
The idea is not yet solid, and I want to improve upon the idea based upon user feedback. But for now here is what I had in mind:
How much reading does this require?
The club will read one book per month. We will start out at a slower pace, reading short books, and then work our way up. I don’t want to choose 500+ page books as that is too discouraging, unless there is a high demand for it.
Will I have to buy new books every month?
Maybe. In the first few months I plan on us reading free (or very cheap) books. These will consist of classics and older books available in the public domain. These books will consist mainly of literature, history and philosophy.
Where will we discuss the books?
This is to be determined. To start, the comments section should suffice.
Does it cost anything?
No, it is free. In the future there may be a paid, premium option.
How do I join?
Sign-up to the e-mail list here. You’ll get updates that the main e-mail list won’t get.
Do I have to be Involved? If so, how often?
There is no requirement! It is completely voluntarily, although involvement is encouraged in order to boost retention of the book.
When do we start reading?
January 2018. The first book for our club will be published later this month or in early January. It should be free on Amazon or elsewhere. We will take a few weeks to read it and then take some time to discuss it and digest it. I will also have multiple articles on the book so that you all get the most out of it.
I look forward to all of you joining!
