20 Nation is the co-founder of Swoop the World. The website is filled with awesome articles about travel, girls and adventure. His first trip to Southeast Asia (SEA), detailed in this book, was the genesis of this site.
I asked him a few follow-up questions about his book, plus his future travel plans, ‘Poosy Paradise’ and more:
Your book focuses on your first big trip to Southeast Asia. From what I’ve seen lately on Swoop the World, you’ve been hopping around a bit this year (e.g. Japan), so I’m curious how you decide where to go and for how long?
Well, I use a lot of ways. Deciding where to spend all your time is a huge decision and shouldn’t be taken lightly. To help me decide I try to visit new places I’ve never been, places I am particularly interested in seeing and places that readers really want me to go.
A big factor is price. When scheduling trips around the world I try to take a route that will save me the most possible money. This year I went from Ukraine to Istanbul (50$ flight). Stayed a bit in Istanbul then went to Egypt (like a $70 flight). Then from Egypt to Japan ($300 flight). Then Japan to Korea (60$ flight).
I planned the entire sequence because of the money I could save on the particular flights. When deciding how long, it really depends on the country and its reputation. Sometimes I get it wrong, I only spent a week in South Korea, but that place is fucking aweseome, I would have preferred to spend at least a month.
Interesting. I’ll make sure to put SK on the map! On the topic of itineraries, have you been back to SEA? If not, do you have any plans to do so? If so, did you meet up with or do you keep in touch with any of the girls you met on the trip from the book?
Well, that trip was like 5 years ago, so I didn’t keep up anything strong. But the prettiest ones from my stories I exchange messages with every couple of months. One of the girls from Thailand was dating a famous Instagram model for a couple weeks while he was visiting Thailand, so it’s interesting to keep in touch and see when stuff like that happens.
I’m always curious as to how people fund their travels. You used student loans to fund your trip in the book. How are you funding your trips these days?
I had done some oil work in USA and saved up some money, but now I am just very budget conscious and am able to fund my travels from what I make online.
Well, that gives guys like me hope that I can join the party in the near future! Does your family or community back home know of your “antics”? If so, how do they react in such a conservative environment? Have they shunned you?
They don’t know my exact antics, but I am always dropping hints and things so they are ready in case it comes out. They wouldn’t disown me or anything but my mom would be quite angry.
That’s good to hear. Especially considering in The Single Guy’s Playground where the sex was almost non-stop. Do you still keep up a similar pace when traveling now? Or do you have a different schedule, or work-life balance?
I think I go through spurts. Well, nowadays I think my sex life was more like it was at the beginning of the book (depending on which country I am in). It was much more relaxed at first, but when I met up with THC is when it kind of turned into a sport (when I slept with 19 girls in my last 2 weeks) instead of just enjoying the opposite sex.
Those numbers are really impressive. It’s why I know of a lot of guys going to Southeast Asia, touting it as a ‘Pussy Paradise’. Do you foresee it becoming too saturated anytime soon and losing its luster?
Maybe foreigners will get less value, but I think it will always be a pussy paradise for the following reasons: The more foreigners in a country the more girls who become foreigner groupies after trying it out. Women are always attracted to height; Asia is obsessed with white skin (advantage for white guys); in South East Asia, the economy will probably be terrible for the rest of our lifetimes, so they will continue to see every western man as a successful man.
Interesting point of view. Before we wrap up, it seems like you and THC have a few things in the pipeline for Swoop the World. Care to share anything we can expect.
We are not sure what we want to do, and what exactly people want. But some things we are considering are a forum and a co-podcast betweeen THC and I.
Awesome, well I am sure looking forward to whatever you and THC put out, and I’m sure my readers are as well. Cheers and pleasant travels.
