This is a Presidential Election like no other. The media frenzy has made discussion of this election non-stop since Spring of 2015. And yet, despite all this information we’ve been told by the media, so little of it is useful.
To really understand what is going on in these elections you need to read books. The reason you must dig deep into books is because in 2016 the media cycle is too fast. There’s always a new speech or scandal, and the media switches from one event to another, never really going into depth into one particular issue. Oftentimes this is intentional, meant to sweep certain events under the rug.
Fortunately, there are a ton of great books that help to give insight as to what this election is all about. They set the context for the debates and issues, and offer a detailed look at certain candidates.
There are a ton of books out there relevant to this election, but I’ve made an effort to narrow them down. I haven’t had the opportunity to read all these books (or even see the movies), but that’s because I don’t want to nor do I have the time. I don’t recommended you read all these books either. You can’t spend all day, every day reading about politics. Instead, scroll through the books and see which ones stick out to you. If one catches your attention, grab a copy and read it. Thoroughly understand a certain topic so that you can enlighten friends and family.
I should also lay out my biases. I’m a Trump supporter and loathe Hillary–the books reflect this. Moreover, these books just focus on the two major parties. I am not aware of any books on the 3rd party candidates, and if there are any good ones please enlighten me.
With that said, here are 8 books to start with:

13 Hours by Mitchell Zuckoff
The terrorist attack against the US Diplomatic Compound in Benghazi has oddly become a partisan issue. The right continues to grill Hillary on her role in the attack and its aftermath, while the left exonerates Hillary and says it’s just a wild goose chase.
In 13 hours, we see the whole picture. And while Clinton is not directly implicated, there are subtle attacks on her behavior as she a.) Lied about the cause of the attack being the result of a YouTube video and b.) She failed to add more security to the compound to create an illusion of peace in Libya.
The story is quite exciting as well, though tragic, as 4 Americans lost their lives.
Clinton Cash by Peter Schweizer
Though the latest scandal de jour for the Clinton’s is
Benghazi Making Millions in Speeches Her email #HillarysHealth, the Clinton Foundation deserves much attention too. Since leaving office, the Clinton’s have earned $130 million, and yet no one questions it. Enter Clinton Cash.
We know that the Clinton’s took massive speaking fees from big bank, but they also took a lot of money from foreign governments and organizations via their foundation. The Clinton Foundation took in more than $140 million in grants and pledges in 2013 but spent just $9 million on direct aid (Reference).
This is disturbing. This is what corruption looks like, yet because our society is so blind she gets away with it.
Cuckservative by Vox Day and John Red Eagle
When did conservatives and the GOP become so weak and limp-wristed? Watching the debates, listening to men like Jeb Bush speak, it makes you wonder sometimes if he’s on the right (pun intended) stage.
The problem is that Republicans have put Political Correctness ahead of the best interest of the country as to not ‘offend’ minorities, who will in some fantasy land vote for them.
The word ‘Cuckservative’ perfectly sums up this new brand of Republicans: Men who sit idly by, even helping at times, as their country gets fucked by Obama and the left. Cuckservative goes back to the 60’s when radical demographic changes were beginning, and continues to discuss today’s political environment vis-a-vis the cucks.
Crippled America by Donald J. Trump
However, if you want to go beyond the repeated slogans and one-liners, Crippled America will show you what Trump really thinks about the state of our country and how to fix it.
The book covers Trump’s policies on education, immigration, health care and of course the economy.
(This book has recently been changed to Great Again. A good re brand by Trump).
Stop the Coming Civil War by Michael Savage
For the last several years, this country has become more divided than it has been it a long time. After seeing the events of the Dallas shooting against police take place, this division is turning violent. And things will only get worse.
In Stop the Coming Civil War Michael Savage lays out his thoughts on the great divide between patriots and those who want to undermine the US. He goes into the how and why of all this too, explaining the manipulations done by Obama and his minions.
He also claims that fixing this divide is a daunting task, but if we wish to save America we must act fast. This is where Trump comes in–he would put a stop to this insidious movement taking place and liberate the country from the radical leftist hold.
Government Zero by Michael Savage
Michael Savage has lived by the motto ‘Borders, Language, Culture’ for two decades now–America hasn’t. We’ve seen our borders, language and culture overrun and systematically dismantled by the left in order to achieve their insidious goal of solidifying power.
Government Zero leaves no stone unturned as Savage touches on the malevolent agenda of the left. He covers every topic from Hollywood, to immigration to the ‘War’ on Isis.
(His new book Scorched Earth will be out soon. It’s essentially one last push to stop Hillary and the left).
Jeb! and the Bush Crime Family: The Inside Story of an American Dynasty by Roger Stone
Jeb’s famous family has been in power for many decades now. Roger Stone exposes 4 generations of the Bush family’s misdeeds spanning back 4 generations to the industrialist Samuel P. Bush, to the children of President George H.W. Bush–Jeb and George W.
If you had any fate in the innocence of the Bush family, after reading Jeb! And the Bush Crime Family you’ll certainly lose it fast.
In Trump We Trust Kindle Edition by Ann Coulter
Donald Trump isn’t a politician — he’s a “one man wrecking ball” against the establishment.
The premise of In Trump We Trust looks at how Trump became the GOP nominee, smashing through PC barriers, and putting the brakes on the disastrous GOP platform which included pandering to Hispanics and selling out to multinationals.
There you have it. These books have all had a hand in changing the conversation this election season, but sadly too few people are listening.
I often hear people say they don’t read the news because it’s too negative. Sure, it is, but failing to follow events and read books like these leads to ignorance, which leads to terrible leaders. Do your part and inform the ignorant.
